Dana Evan

Dana Evan is a Venture Partner at Icon Ventures since 2013. Dana brings over 25 years of executive leadership experience in global finance and operations management. As an uber Chief Financial Officer and Operations Executive, Dana is able to provide tremendous insights to fast-growth, high-performance enterprises. In addition, Dana'S broad range of experiences and achievements has led to a great network of relationships in Silicon Valley and elsewhere. Before joining Icon, Dana served for 12 years as the Chief Financial Officer at VeriSign, Inc., where she was a founding executive and a significant contributor to the company’s growth and profitability. Dana led VeriSign’s worldwide operations related to finance and accounting, IT, human resources, legal matters, investor relations, real estate and property management, as the company grew from a small venture-backed startup to a global enterprise with nearly 5,000 employees and $2 billion in revenue. She led all of the institutional financing rounds, including its successful IPO in 1998. Dana was also responsible for executing and integrating approximately 60 merger and acquisition transactions while at VeriSign.Prior to VeriSign, Dana served in a range of financial executive roles for several public and private companies including Delphi Bioventures and Identix Incorporated. Earlier in her career, Dana held a variety of positions at KPMG LLP.Dana currently serves on the Boards of Box (BOX), Criteo (CRTO), Everyday Health (EVDY), Farfetch, Linden Labs, Proofpoint (PFPT) and Survey Monkey. Previously, Dana served on the Board of Fusion-IO (FIO), which was acquired in July 2014 by SanDisk for $1.1B, Omniture (OMTR), which was acquired in October 2009 by Adobe Systems for $1.8B, and MySQL, which was acquired by Sun Microsystems in February 2008 for $1.2B. Dana is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from the University of Santa Clara.
