Craig Cogut is the Founder and serves as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Member of Investment and Sustainability Committee at Pegasus Capital Advisors. He has spent a career building successful investment businesses. Cogut founded Pegasus, a private equity fund, in 1995 and serves as its Chairman and President. Through Cogut's leadership, Pegasus has focused increasingly on areas influenced by global resource scarcity and the need for resource efficiency, as well as on the growth in demands for human wellness. In 1990 Cogut co-founded and was one of the original partners at Apollo Advisors L.P., a position he held for five years preceding the creation of Pegasus. He served as Board Member at Accordant Energy. Cogut is an active philanthropist in the fields of improving education, building civil society and championing environmental and health issues. Cogut serves as Chairman of The Polyphony Foundation, an organization that he co-founded to provide equal opportunity music education for Arab and Jewish Israeli youth. In addition, Cogut serves as a board member for Arizona State University's Global Institute of Sustainability, for The McCain Institute for International Leadership at Arizona State University, for the R-20 Regions of Climate Action, for Six Senses (a luxury hotel and resort chain focused on sustainability and wellness), for Lighting Science Group and for PanTheryx (a medical nutrition company focused on products that promote intestinal health). Cogut is an alumnus of Brown University and Harvard Law School.
