Thousand Hills Venture Fund manages foreign investment funds and invests in middle-market transactions in select African countries. THVF currently manages the only U.S.-based Africa investment fund that is financed entirely by private money. The firm's current activities are focused on Rwanda, although it has future plans to expand, and presently THVF considers select transactions outside Rwanda. THVF makes investments from three funds: THVF I invests equity in small- and medium enterprises in Rwanda; THVF II was formed to co-invest with a prominent local investment group in larger projects in Rwanda; and THVF III was formed to invest in housing and mortgage finance in Rwanda.
