The University of the Pacific manages an endowment fund which is based in Stockton, California. The endowment fund provides annual funding which supports the strategic initiatives of the university. The endowment is managed by the board of regent's investment committee in accordance with investment policies. The endowment makes investments to provide a reliable stream of revenue to augment the university's budget in perpetuity. The investment committee works with the staff of the business and finance division, as well as an investment consultant to ensure that investments are providing the income stream needed to support programs while continuing to grow the principal of the endowment pool.University of the Pacific Endowment's investment portfolio is valued at $463.31 million, with investments in domestic and international equity, fixed income, real assets, marketable alternatives, and private equity. The endowment return for 1 year, 3 years and 5 years, is 13.1%, 3.7%, and 8.1%, compared to the benchmark return of 11.6%, 3.7%, and 7% respectively.
