UNC Management Company (UNCMC) is a money management firm based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Established in 2003, the firm provides investment services to The University of North Carolina and its other constituent institutions and to affiliated foundations and endowments. The firm's mission is to provide asset management services to its clients by maximizing the long-term return on the investment portfolio commensurate with specified risk parameters. Investment compliance functions are overseen by an internal UNCMC Compliance Committee comprised of a cross-section of UNCMC employees with the Director of Investment Compliance and Legal Affairs serving as its Chairman. UNCMC acts as a manager of the UNC Investment Fund. The firm is managed by the executive management team.
