The Velux Foundation

The Velux Fuundation is a non-profit foundation based in Soborg, Denmark. Established in 1971, the foundation is comprised of two philanthropic foundations VILLUM Fonden and VELUX Fonden. The foundation mainly makes grants in areas of science, environmental, social and cultural purposes in Denmark and internationally. The assets of the foundation are managed and governed by the board of directors.The Velux Foundation's investment portfolio is valued at over DKK13.5 billion, with investments in private equity.
