The Brainerd Foundation

The Brainerd Foundation is an independent non-profit private foundation based in Seattle, Washington. Established in 1995, the foundation's mission is to protect the environment of the northwest and to build broad citizen support for conservation. The foundation provides grants to strengthen the ability of nonprofits, communities, and decision-makers to protect the region's air, land, and water. In addition to funding, the foundation also provides expertise to their nonprofit partners and collaborate with other foundations to find new methods of advocacy, policy implementation, and capacity building.
