Pensionskasse des Bundes Publica (PUBLICA) is a public pension fund based in Bern, Switzerland. Established in 1921, the fund provides accident, health, and death benefit coverage for the federal state employees and their eligible beneficiaries. The plan provides benefits towards the Federal Administration, the ETH Domain, various decentralized federal enterprises, and around 60 other private or public-law companies. PUBLICA also manages a separate portfolio for closed pension funds with no active members. The fund is managed by the board members. It determines a Strategic Asset Allocation for the closed pension funds as a whole and for the open pension funds as a whole, as well as the Strategic Asset Allocation for the PUBLICA Collective Institution as service provider and insurer.
