Established in 2015, Startup52 is a New York, New York based early stage accelerator that focuses to accelerate startup companies in the technology sector. The firm invests in the food, beverage, mobile, education and media sectors. The firm's goal is to identify and groom outstanding entrepreneurs in startup entrepreneurship and tech skill-set building, especially those from untapped and under-tapped communities in technology. These communities include people of color, women, LGBTQIA, immigrants, disabled founders, seniors and veterans. The acceleration period lasts for 12 weeks and prefers a diversified portfolio in viable ideas, from AI, to IoT, edtech, biotech, cleantech, mobile, SaaS, big data, privacy and security, hardware and gaming sectors.
