Sheet Metal Air Rail and Transportation Workers

The Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, and Transpurtation Workers (SMART) is formed after the merger of Sheet Metal WorkersAo International Association and the United Transportation Union in January of 2008. It is based in Washington, District of Columbia. It has approximately 700 local unions and councils in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. The International provides resources to affiliated local unions for organizing, bargaining, political action, and education, while administering members-only benefits through our affiliated funds. Its members ensure the quality of the air, promote energy efficiency, produce and provide the vital services that move products to market and passengers to their destinations. Its investments are managed by the executive management team.
