Founded in 2017, Sancus Capital Group is a La Jolla based private equity firm that focuses on investments and acquisitions in lower-middle and middle-market family-owned and founder-led businesses in the U.S. and Canada. Sancus Capital is most interested in opportunities to provide capital for liquidity, organic growth, acquisitions, or any combination of the three. Sancus has the flexibility to do control, non-control, common equity, preferred equity, and even subordinated debt (alongside some equity). Sancus Capital is seeking investment opportunities in the following industry sectors: Branded Consumer Products, Business Services, Consumer Services, E-Commerce, Financial Services / FinTech, Healthcare Services, Niche Manufacturing, Specialty Packaging, and Technology Services. The firm is particularly interested in buy-and-build strategies within highly fragmented industries. Additionally, Sancus Capital is open to evaluating opportunities to simultaneously acquire multiple businesses that each fall below the firm's minimum EBITDA threshold of $3M to create a platform in a particular industry. Sancus Capital is primarily focused on investment opportunities where there is a significant partnership dynamic, whether it is an opportunity to partner with the existing owners or existing management team, or whether it is an opportunity to partner with a new management team.
