Municipality of Anchorage Police and Fire Retirement System

The Municipality of Anchorage Police and Fire Retirement System is a public pension fund based in Anchorage, Alaska. Established in 1968, the plan provides retirement benefits to the eligible employees based upon the total period of regular full-time employment with the municipality as a police officer or firefighter. The Police and Fire Retirement Trust Fund account for contributions, expenses, revenue, and distribution of the three municipal police and fire retirement plans. The retirement board administers the retirement system for the exclusive benefit of the members by prudently managing and investing the assets of the plan.
