MUFG Asset Management is the asset management business of Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation, based in Tokyo with USD642 billion in AUM. As part of MUFG’s financial institution platform, it combines Japanese and Asian public-market expertise with strategic private-market investment activity, including backing early- and later-stage companies in FinTech, financial-services technology and space-related sectors. Its investment activity spans Japan and Asia as well as the United States, United Kingdom and Singapore, and MUFG has acted as a lead or co-lead investor in some startup financings.
