Launched in 2001, Miramar Venture Partners is currently seeking new investments in early stage and expansion round (where a company has satisfactorily demonstrated the viability of its business model or the commercialization of its technology) technology companies with high growth potential in the fields of: Storage Systems, Networking & Connectivity, Semiconductor and MEMS, SaaS & the Internet. The firm focuses primarily on information technology companies in Southern California from Santa Barbara to San Diego. Miramar's typical investment ranges from $1 million to $3 million per round. On occasion, the firm will invest less than that to seed companies that fit its investment criteria, and are led by founders with whom Miramar has had prior successful experience.
