Michigan Judges' Retirement System (MJRS) is a multiple-employer public pension based at Lansing, Michigan. MJRS was merged with the State of Michigan Retirement Board in 2016 and now MJRS administers two different retirement plans for judicial employees - the defined benefit plan and the 401(k) defined contribution plan. The pension plan was established to provide retirement, survivor, and disability benefits to judges in the judicial branch of state government. The system also includes the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Secretary of State, Attorney General, Legislative Auditor General, and the Constitutional Court, Administrator. The State of Michigan Retirement board provides oversight of the retirement system. The System was established by the state to provide retirement benefits to judges in the judicial branch of state government. The fund is managed by the executive management team.
