McGill University Endowment

McGill University manages an endowment fund that is based in Montreal, Quebec. The university manages an endowment fund whose objective is to obtain a total return necessary to provide a dependable and optimal source of income for endowment beneficiaries, to cover the annual operating costs of the endowment, and to preserve the capital of the endowment within the social and ethical norms of the University. The endowment fund is managed as the McGill Investment Pool (MIP) which was formed in 1970. The assets of McGill University Endowment are managed by the McGill Office of Investments.McGill University Endowment's investment portfolio is valued at CAD1.66 billion, with investments in domestic and international equity, fixed income, private equity, and alternatives.
