Launch New York is a Buffalo-based nonprofit venture capital firm and certified CDFI backing Upstate New York startups with seed-stage financing, mentorship and network support. It has acted as a lead investor and is relevant for founders raising early capital in the United States, particularly companies in sectors including climate, clean technology, energy, sustainability, agriculture, food, health, consumer, retail and biotechnology. Typical seed capital commitments are $25,000 to $100,000.
