J.W. McConnell Family Foundation

The J.W. McConnell Family Foundation is based in Montreal, Quebec. Established in 1937, the foundation is focused to improve the quality of life in Canada by building communities that help people develop their potential and contribute to the common good. The Foundation's current areas of focus and emerging initiatives include, Social Finance and Impact Investing, Sustainable Food Systems, Indigenous-Focused Philanthropy, Cities for People, and RECODE-catalyzing social innovation and entrepreneurship in higher education. The assets of the foundation are managed and administered under the leadership of the board of trustees.
