Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services, otherwise known as IL&FS, is an infrastructure development and investment company based in Mumbai, India. In addition to making infrastructure investments, the firm makes private equity and venture capital investments through its subsidiary IL&FS Investment Managers Limited (IIML). IIML provides all forms of private equity financing, from start-up to later stage financing and MBO. The firm invests across a variety of sectors, including technology, media, retail, consumer services, manufacturing and infrastructure, with a focus on India and other Asian countries.
