IFB Hamburg is Hamburg’s public-sector investment and development bank and provides venture capital through InnoVentureFonds for innovative growth companies in Germany. It focuses on young companies with a completed seed phase, especially Hamburg-based, non-listed corporations, investing alongside private investors on a pari passu basis. The program targets early-stage technology and impact-related sectors including AI and machine learning, clean technology, climate, sustainability, computing, deep tech and hardware, and can provide up to €7 million per company through equity-like instruments.
