ESB Novusmodus LP is a €200m cleantech fund. ESB, the leading Irish utility, is the sole investor in the fund and provides Greencoat Capital with a unique platform of support and know-how, allowing them to examine potential investments with a high level of technical rigour, and provide a significant and differentiating level of support for those companies within the portfolio. As well as direct utility perspective, Greencoat Capital gains from ESB's international reach, and standing as a state utility. They also regularly leverage expertise from ESB's dedicated teams in Wind, EV, Biomass, Wave, Smart Grid, Smart Meter, ESCO and other core utility sectors. They pass on these benefits to the fund's portfolio companies. ESB's aim is to provide capital, support and knowledge to enterprises in the clean energy and energy efficiency sectors, exploiting the commercial opportunities brought about by a large scale transition to a low carbon global economy. Their team is based in London, Dublin and Munich, and they have a global mandate with a European focus.
