Gonet Cie Private Bank

Gonet & Cie SA is one of the oldest Swiss private banks, founded in 1845 in Geneva by the Gonet family and operating continuously as a private-banker partnership through five generations of family ownership (Nicolas Gonet, fifth generation, joined 1997, partner 2003, Chairman from 1 January 2024), before converting from unlimited-liability private-banker structure to a limited company in February 2016. The bank specialises in private banking, discretionary portfolio management, investment advisory, wealth management, wealth and succession planning, sustainable / ESG-integrated investment, pension planning, fiduciary services, and access to alternative and digital assets, operating under Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) supervision with offices in Geneva, Cologny, Lausanne, Zurich, Lugano, plus subsidiaries historically in the Bahamas and Dubai. In January 2022 Gonet acquired Degroof Petercam Switzerland, and in November 2022 Arab Bank Switzerland (an independent sister company of Jordan-headquartered Arab Bank plc, founded in Switzerland in 1962) acquired a 90% stake in the bank, while preserving operational independence. In November 2024 Gonet and Geneva-based ONE swiss bank SA (formerly Banque Benedict Hentsch / GS Banque) announced a merger that completed in 2025, creating a unified entity operating under the Gonet brand led by CEO Jean-Rene Lepezel (appointed 2024) and managing approximately CHF 12 billion in assets, with the ABS Group's aggregate wealth-management assets approaching CHF 20 billion post-merger.
