George I. Alden Trust

George I. Alden Trust is an independent non-profit foundation based in Worcester, Massachusetts. The trust was established in 1912 for the general purpose of "the maintenance of some charitable or philanthropic enterprises" with particular expressed interest in "the promotion of education in schools, colleges or other educational institutions," as well as a particular interest in Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester Technical High School and the work of Massachusetts YMCAs. The foundation supports institutions that demonstrate a combination of educational excellence, programming and efficient and effective administration. The assets of the foundation are managed by he board o trustees.George I. Alden Trust does not currently invest in private equity or venture capital.
