France Brevets (FB) is a suvereign wealth fund based in Paris, France. Established in 2011, the firm is an investment fund fully dedicated to patent promotion and monetization in Europe and was funded with C100mn (50% by Caisse des Depots and 50% by the French State via the Program of Investments for the Future Ao PIA). It deploys a broad array of legal, financial, technical and commercial resources, leverages its resources and network of experts, working for the purpose of monetizing patents or acquiring patent rights for innovative ecosystems to secure rights protecting freedom to operate. It provides financial and strategic support to help entities to build valuable patent portfolios, reflecting their commitment to innovation. It operates as a subsidiary of Caisse des Depots Group. The assets of the firm are managed by the executive management team.
