First Acceptance is an insurance company based in Nashville, Tennessee. Established in 1995, the firm primarily provides automobile insurance policies to individuals and also offers optional products that provide ancillary reimbursements and benefits in the event of an automobile accident. It operates in two segments: insurance, and real estate and corporate. Its insurance operations are engaged in selling non-standard personal automobile insurance products and related products in approximately 20 states. The real estate and corporate segment consist of the activities related to the disposition of foreclosed real estate held for sale, interest expense associated with all debt and other general corporate overhead expenses. It owns and operates insurance company subsidiaries, including First Acceptance Insurance Company, First Acceptance Insurance Company of Georgia and First Acceptance Insurance Company of Tennessee. The assets of the company are managed and governed by the board of directors.
