Employees' Retirement System Of The Government Of The Virgin Islands

Employees Retirement System of the Government of the Virgin Islands is a public pension fund based in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. Established in 1959, the fund is a defined benefit pension plan for officials and employees of the Government of the Virgin Islands, and for their dependents and beneficiaries, for the payment of retirement annuities, disability annuities, and other benefits. In addition to providing regular retirement benefits, the plan also provides personal, auto, land, and mortgage loans to qualified members and retirees. The assets of the plan are managed and governed by an investment committee.
