Duke University Health System (DUHS) is an independent non-profit private foundation based in Durham, North Carolina. Established in 1998, DUHS is an integrated academic health care system serving a broad area of central North Carolina as Duke established partnerships with Durham Regional Hospital, Raleigh Community Hospital, and other regional health care providers. The assets are managed and governed by the Board of Directors.Duke University Health System's investment portfolio is valued at over $4.05 billion, with investments in domestic and international equity, fixed income, private equity, hedge funds, and cash.
