Contango Kapital

Contango Kapital AS is a venture capital firm founded in January 2012 and based in Oslo, Norway, formed through the merger of corporate venture funds Hafslund Venture and Energy Future Invest, and owned by its management team. The firm invests in growth companies in the renewable energy, clean technology, energy, telecommunications, and infrastructure sectors across the Nordic region, taking an active ownership role and providing both capital and expertise, and it currently provides advisory services to Energy Future Invest AS and Contango Ventures II AS. In 2014 Contango Kapital took over the investment portfolio of Incitia Partners following Incitia's wind-down, and co-managed Contango Ventures II alongside Incitia Ventures, with limited partners including Kommunal Landspensjonskasse. Disclosed portfolio companies include Swedish businesses Glo and Campadre Scandinavia, with additional holdings in Hiddn Security and FXI Technologies, and the firm has an average transaction size in the range of USD 10 to 20 million.
