City of St. Petersburg Police Pension Fund

The City of St. Petersburg Police Pension Fund is a public pension fund based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The pension division of The City of St. Petersburg Retirement administers the police pension fund. The police pension plan is a defined benefit pension plan which was established to reward eligible employees for long and loyal service by providing them with retirement benefits. The benefits were based on years of credited service, covered salary and age at retirement. The contributions to the fund the plan are made by members, by the city and by the state and are deposited into a separate trust fund maintained solely to provide benefits to members. The assets of the plan are managed and governed by the board of trustees.
