Channel 4's Commercial Growth Fund, also known as Channel 4 Ventures, is Channel 4's London-based corporate venture and media-for-equity arm, backing consumer-facing brands with television advertising inventory in exchange for small minority stakes. It invests in UK and international companies from seed to pre-IPO, with later-stage venture participation, and is most relevant to founders in advertising, media, entertainment, music, consumer, marketplace, retail, food and beverage, cannabis, real estate and travel sectors. Typical media-for-equity cheque sizes are £2m to £10m, and portfolio examples include Pinterest, What3Words, Airtasker, Oddbox and Cannaray.
