Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) is a banking institution based in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Established in 1960, the bank's objective is to promote the integration and the development of its founding member countries namely Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica. CABEI is a multilateral development bank whose mission is to promote the economic integration and balanced economic and social development of the Central American countries. As a regional financial organization, the firm provides financing to public and private sectors and is specialized in attracting and channeling external resources, complementary and additional to those provided by other sources, to promote investment and development opportunities in its sphere of influence. The assets of the bank are managed by its Board of Directors.
