CatchMark Timber Trust

CatchMark Timber Trust Inc formerly known as Wells Timberland REIT, Inc., was formed on September 27, 2005 as a Maryland corporation. It is a real estate company investing in timberlands. The Company is engaged in the ownership, management, acquisition and disposition of timberland properties located in the United States. As of September 30, 2013, the Company owned interests in approximately 280,000 acres of timberland, consisting of 247,200 acres held in fee-simple interests, or its fee timberlands, and 32,800 acres held in leasehold interests, or its leased timberlands. Its timberlands are located on the Lower Piedmont and Upper Coastal Plains of East Central Alabama and West Central Georgia. The Company competes with private and industrial timberland owners as well as governmental agencies that own or manage timberlands in the U.S. South.
