The private merchant banking firm specializes in providing corporate finance, merger and acquisition, and business consulting services to both privately-owned and publicly-held companies with annual revenues ranging from $5 million to more than $2 billion. In May 1998, CapSource Fund, LP received a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) license from the Small Business Administration (SBA) with CapSources serving as the fund manager. In June 2001, CapSources created a second venture fund, the CapSource 2000 Fund, LP, and received from the SBA a second SBIC license. CapSources provides investments ranging from $250,000 to $1.5 million to growth stage companies. Investments are made in the form of subordinated debt with warrants for common stock. Prospective companies should have annual revenues in excess of $1 million. Investments by the Funds will be principally targeted to companies located in the Southeast, Southwest and Western U.S. The Funds will also look at co-investment opportunities with other investment funds for transactions located throughout the U.S.
