Axis Capital Management is a private investment firm founded in 1990 that has specialized in private equity investments, advisory services and structured lending. Since inception, the firm has executed, as principal and agent, over US$12 billion in transactions.
Axis has distinguished itself by identifying arbitage opportunities across a diverse range of industries and markets. The firm is headquartered in Mexico City, one of the main financial centers of Latin America.
In 2007, Axis launched Navix, a non-bank financial intermediary, to create a solid, well capitalized, institutional platform to consolidate its structured financing activities associated with the oil services industry in Mexico.
In February 2012, Axis, together with Temasek and Ares Management LLC, founded Integradora de Servicios Petroleros Oro Negro, S.A.P.I. de C.V., ("Oro Negro"), a Mexican limited liability company with the purpose of becoming an integrated and diversified Oil & Gas services company.
In December 2012, Axis completed an offering of structured notes known as CKDs, raising Ps$6.5 billion (US$500 million) with the purpose of investing them in a variety of sectors.
