Austin Fire Fighters Relief & Retirement Fund

Austin Fire Fighters Relief & Retirement Fund (AFRS) is a defined benefit public pension fund based in Austin, Texas. Established in 1937, AFRS provides retirement, disability, death and survivor benefits to active and retired participants and their eligible beneficiaries. The pension fund is administered by a five member board of trustees. An administrative office and staff have been established to assist the pension board in the day to day administration of the pension fund.
