I would advise founders to be culturally sensitive when approaching Astanor and treat the firm with the respect it deserves. The partner I initially reached out to very quickly referred me to two of his colleagues and shared with them the pitch deck and covering email I supplied. The team my Co-Founder and I met (we met virtually because we were on different continents) were very good to deal with and asked reasonable questions. They demonstrated a distinctly European culture. They followed-up with their decision in less than a week. We weren't really surprised or disappointed that this investor declined to advance with us because we already concluded that our interests (their mandate and our business case) weren't tightly aligned. Based on professional demeanour, I would recommend Astanor to other founders.
