Asahi Kasei Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of Asahi Kasei Therapeutics, based in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, investing internationally in biopharmaceutical and strategic therapeutics companies. It focuses on biotechnology, life sciences and pharmaceuticals, including immunology and inflammation, kidney disease, serious hospital-treated diseases, neurodegenerative disease, rare diseases, and drug discovery and delivery technologies. The firm backs early-stage companies and has also participated in later-stage venture rounds, with activity across the United States, Europe, Israel and Asia-Pacific and investments up to several million dollars per opportunity.
