Venkatesh Sethuraman

Venkatesh Sethuraman serves as Senior Advisor at Tryb Group. He is also an Angel Investor. He also serves as Advisor at BankersLab. After establishing the Citi India business, Venky moved to Singapore to join the Citi Asian Equities team in 2003. Venky transitioned from being an India Specialist Salesperson to an Asian Generalist Salesperson. Following a successful Sales role, Venky moved to Management and became the Head of ASEAN Equities. Venky quit Citigroup in 2010, took a sabbatical and rejoined Equities when Standard Chartered Bank was setting up in Asia. After Standard Chartered Bank closed the Equities business globally, Venky decided to hang his Equities boots and concentrate on using his expertise in identifying promising startups, investing and nurturing them. Venky lives in Singapore and is now a Singaporean but maintains very close ties with India. After an Engineering Degree Venky did his Masters in Management Studies from University of Mumbai specializing in Finance. Venky volunteers at the Buona Vista Community Centre and is part of the Indian Activities Executive Committee.
