He held various positions in SAS from 1984 to 2001 and served as its Executive Vice President and Deputy Chief Executive Officer. He serves as Chairman of F L Smidth A/S, TDC A/S, Scandic Hotels AB, Select Service Partner Ltd. and Automic Software. He furthermore serves as Vice-Chairman of DFDS A/S and as Director of Air Canada Inc, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Inc, Lufthansa Cargo AG and Braganza AS. Previously he has among several other Directorships served as Chairman of BTX Group A/S, DeSter BV and Codan Forsikring A/S, KMD A/S and British Midland International Ltd.as well as Director of DUNI AB, Sophus Berendsen A/S, IHI Holding A/S, Srensen was the 2004 Chairman of the Association of European Airlines, AEA. He holds an M.Sc. in Economics and business administration from Aarhus Business School, Denmark.
