Tytus Cytowski

Tytus Cytowski is the Founder and serves as Managing Partner & Lawyer at Cytowski & Partners. He previously served as Advisor at Polska Silicon Valley Acceleration Center. He received his law degrees from Harvard Law School (LLM 2005) and Warsaw University (JD 2003) in Poland. He also studied at the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. Tytus holds a certificate degree in private international law from the Hague Academy of International Law (2003). Tytus is a widely respected legal expert in matters related to venture capital and corporate transactions between Europe and the USA, including flip transactions, seed financing, venture financing and M&A. Tytus began his career as an associate at Salans (now Dentons) and Linklaters in Warsaw, Poland. Subsequently he joined Dechert LLP as an associate in New York City focusing on structured finance and securitization. He then worked at a venture capital fund/family office on the East Coast. He founded the Firm in 2009, focusing on the representation of investors, entrepreneurs and high tech companies. Post-financial crisis he was often retained by large law firms as an advisor in connection to complex subprime litigation matters. In 2013 he expanded his law firm to Poland and maintains strong relationships in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Tytus has been asked by the Minister of Science and Education of Poland to advise on new government initiatives relating to innovation in Poland in 2016. He is also involved in the Polish Bank Association (ZBP) FATCA working group responsible for the implementation process of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act in Poland. Tytus is a regular columnist for the Business Insider. He is a member of the New York State bar. He is also an Angel Investor.
