Tony Rems

Tony Rems serves as Chief Technology Officer at Hero Digital. He is an Angel Investor. He is an Advisor of Appvance.ai. Rems served as the Vice President, Information Technology at Food.com. He also co-founded ThoughtMatrix and served as it's Principal. Prior to founding ThoughtMatrix, he served as the CTO at SBI Razorfish, a $100M/yr IT Professional Services firm. At SBI, he managed alliances, set technology direction, did public speaking and worked as an advisor to companies such a Visa, Mattel, American Airlines, Symantec and RedBull. He has twenty-three years of technology experience, having held a range of positions at Unisoft Corporation, Amdahl, Sybase, Oracle and USWeb/CKS. He was a Managing Architect for USWeb/CKS, launching large, integrated web initiatives for Walgreen's, IBM, GM, Logitech, Toyota Europe, Sun and other clients. He has focused on best practices surrounding Enterprise Architecture, the design of highly scalable systems in complex legacy environments with high performance and security requirements. In addition, he is an industry expert in Java based eCommerce and applications servers and has written and published work in these areas. He graduated form U.C. Berkeley with a degree in Computer Science.
