Steven Hankin

Prior to Sentient Jet, Sternlicht recruited Hankin to run Strategic Planning at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, a position he held for five years during which time he was tasked with developing Starwood's internet and distribution strategy which led to the formation of new distribution, customer marketing, and technology unit, STARS ("Starwood Technology and Revenue Systems"). This group helped invent and run Starwood Preferred Guest, the company's call centers, internet marketing and coordinated both online and offline marketing, as well as partnerships and third party distribution agreements. After several years, Hankin became Starwood's Chief Marketing Officer, responsible for brand marketing, brand operations, and creative services. Prior to Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Hankin was a partner at McKinsey and headed their Charlotte office. In his 13 years at McKinsey, he served clients in parcel, rail, and air as well as the travel agency business. He holds a BS from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Darden School of the University of Virginia.
