Sonny Singh serves as the Chief Commercial Officer at BitPay. He served as Executive, Venture Development at Lumia Capital. He also serves as an Advisor at Luminous Ventures Sonny joined Lumia Capital in 2014 and focuses on venture development, primarily in the US and Europe. Sonny is an expert in the enterprise technology business development field, with experience as a member of three founding sales tea Prior to Lumia, Sonny was VP of Business Development at Jumio where he helped grow the company to over 200 employees in three years and raise over $50M in funding from Andreessen Horowitz, Citigroup, and Eduardo Saverin. Prior to Jumio, Sonny was part of the founding sales team at InMage Systems (acquired by Microsoft), which was a revolutionary storage software startup founded by Kumar Malavalli (Founder of Brocade). At InMage, Sonny helped grow the customer base to over 400 customers and 100 resellers in three years. Prior to InMage, Sonny was in enterprise sales for Niku Corporation (acquired by Computer Associates), where he was the youngest sales rep to ever qualify for Presidents Club. Previously, Sonny was part of the founding sales team for Entrada Software (acquired by First Trace) which was a leading PLM solution. Sonny maintains close relationships with leaders in the technology and venture capital industry, and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Sonny is also a successful angel investor and has invested in numerous companies including Jumio, Getaround, Tube Mogul, and Sendhub. Sonny is an active member of the Guardsmen, which is a non-profit that raises approximately $1.5 million a year for inner-city children in the Bay Area. Sonny has an MBA from Thunderbird, and is a graduate of Binghamton University where he was an NCAA collegiate tennis player. He has also studied at Cambridge University in England.
