Shayan Zadeh

Shayan Zadeh is a Co-Founder & serves as Board Member at Zoosk. He also is an Angel Investor. He serves as Advisor at Lodestar Ventures. He also serves as an Executive Chairman of Mavatar Technologies. He founded Zoosk with Alex Mehr in 2007. He Co-founded Gear Zero. Prior to founding Zoosk, he was a program manager and software engineer for Microsoft. He received a Master of Science in Computer Science from University of Maryland, and a Master in Business Administration from University of Washington. While completing his undergraduate degree in computer science at Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, he met co-founder Alex Mehr. He and Alex initially intended to pursue careers in academia, but ultimately decided to become entrepreneurs while they were roommates at the University of Maryland. In addition to running Zoosk, he is an angel investor and advisor to startup companies including PaperKarma (acquired by reputation.com), Identified (acquired by Workday) and AppComputing.
