Rui Ferreira

Rui Ferreira serves as Executive Vice President at Portugal Ventures. He holds a degree in Business Organization and Management by University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL), a Master's Degree with a Specialization in Finance by the Catholic University of Portugal and has been a Lecturer at ISCTE-IUL since 2001. He worked as a consultant for several entities in the areas of financing, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions of SMEs and innovation/entrepreneurship. He was the CFO of SharkTank Portugal (2014-2017), Executive Director of ICAT/TEC Labs - Institute for Applied Science and Technology of the University of Lisbon (2012-2013), Corporate Finance Manager of Capital Criativo, Venture Capital Company (2010-2011), General Manager and Founder of Audax (Centre for Research and Support to Entrepreneurship and Family Businesses of ISCTE and Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon) (2005-2009), Manager of Deloitte's Corporate Finance Division (2004-2005) and an advisor to the Board of API-Capital, SA (2001-2004). He was also the coordinator of IAPMEI's Financial Engineering/Innovation Office and Studies Office (1993-2000).
