Pitcairn was established as a single family office in 1923 to preserve the wealth and resources of the descendants of John Pitcairn co-founder of Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company(currently PPG industries). In 1989 for the first time in history Pitcairn offered its wealth management services to clients other than the Pitcairn family. Pitcairn is now a privately held multi-family office dedicated to helping clients grow and protect their financial assets and family heritage.� Pitcairn runs a fund-of-fund which was launched in 1999 and which currently has $45 million in assets under management.
