He served as CEO of VoiceSignal Technologies since 2003. He served as VP of Mobile Computing at Toshiba Corporation. He served as SVP of Nokia Mobile Phones. He served as VP of worldwide marketing of networking division at International Business Machines Corp. At IBM, he was one of the youngest vice president/general managers. He stimulated rapid growth in an otherwise slower growing business by designing, developing and launching the IBM's first distribution channels for networking products worldwide. He serves as director of MagNetPoint. He has been director of Jentro Technologies GmbH since November 2007. He was also a member of the research faculty at Harvard Business School, where he completed the highly regarded book: A Theory of Market Strategy, published by Oxford University Press.
