Philip Berney

Kelso & Company specializes in private equity investing, and has been involved in leveraged acquisitions both as principal and as financial advisor since 1971. The firm makes equity investments on behalf of investment partnerships, which it manages. Since 1980, Kelso has managed seven private equity investment partnerships with total partnership capital of over $4.9 billion, and has invested in more than 115 companies with total capitalization of more than $39 billion. Kelso is currently investing its eighth investment fund, Kelso Investment Associates VIII, L.P., with $5.1 billion of committed capital raised.
