After a short stint as a legal counsel, Maxime Jadot began his banking career in 1983 at Générale de Banque. From 1984 to 1998, he held successive positions as Branch Manager, Branch Network Manager, Head of Marketing, Regional Manager and Marketing Director.
Between February 2007 and June 2009 he was Chairman of the Board and Country Manager of Fortis France. Previously (from 1998-2006), he was Managing Director of Corporate Finance & Capital Markets at Fortis Bank.
Prior to the tie-up between BNP Paribas and Fortis, Maxime Jadot coordinated the strategy for bank and insurance activities at Fortis in France, with a view to generating synergies. He experienced the difficult period at Fortis Bank which led to the acquisition by BNP Paribas in 2009.
Since 1994, Maxime Jadot has been a member of the Board of Directors of Bekaert, a Belgian company specialised in the advanced transformation of metals and materials.
