Matthew Gunnison

Matt is an Executive Director in the New Business Creation practice at GE Ventures. In this role he focuses on the creation of standalone, venture-backed businesses in the fields of healthcare, energy and advanced manufacturing. Matt has held various positions at GE within GE Ventures and GE Healthcare with responsibility for activities including US and international corporate development, strategic planning, technology transfer and licensing. Prior to joining GE, Matt was a corporate attorney with Sidley Austin LLP practicing in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital and corporate governance. Matt holds a B.A. in Economics from Georgetown University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. Matt lives in Los Gatos, CA with his wife, their three-year-old son.
